In 2009, Jardine Engineering Corporation (JEC) supplied around 33,000 square feet of Milliken sustainable carpets to a business centre of the Standard Chartered Bank in the International Finance Centre, Hong Kong. JEC was responsible for coordinating, delivering and installing the carpets and worked closely with the Standard Chartered Bank and the supplier to ensure that the right carpets were selected.

Sustainable Features
The Milliken carpet used is made from durable materials which means that the carpet will not have to be replaced as often. Milliken is well known for its high quality and sustainable features. Milliken products are certified carbon neutral by the Leonardo Academy and are certified by the Sustainable Carpet Assessment Standard. They are PVC free with Engineered for Sustainablity (ES) cushion backings that have up to 35% recycled content.

Indoor Air Quality (IAQ)
Poor IAQ is one of the top five environmental health risks related to buildings. In view of this, JEC supplied carpets which have a low level of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) so that occupant health is wellprotected. Milliken carpets meet the Green Label Plus
for IAQ.
