JEC Singapore designed, supplied and installed the largest operable wall system in the world for the Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention centre and the linen chute for the three adjoining hotel towers. JEC also supplied the ironmongery for the entire resort. The Marina Bay Sands is an S$8 billion waterfront business and leisure development that has been described by Las Vegas Sands as one of the world's most challenging construction projects.

The Operable Wall
The operable wall runs over 4km on five floors of the exhibition halls and convention centre, which can host over 45,000 delegates. Designed with acoustic sleeves that provide the highest possible degree of sound-proofing, the movable wall system is also used for the ballrooms and meeting rooms. The walls are also compliant with fire safety requirements. With a track length of over 7km, the complexity of the design allows the venue to be partitioned into over 200 rooms of varying sizes.

Linen Chute and Ironmongeries
JEC also designed, supplied, and installed the linen chute serving 2,500 rooms and suites in three hotel towers, as well as the carpet flooring for the back of house. JEC is the nominated supplier of ironmongeries for the entire development.
