JEC provided the supply, installation, supervision and commissioning of natural gas generators for the Central Asia pipeline gas compression station in Kazakhstan.

The Project

The 2,228 kilometres Central Asia oil pipeline runs from Kazakhstan’s Caspian shore to Xinjiang, China. JEC supplied three sets of 1750 kW gas generators and one 500 kW diesel generator to provide a reliable power supply system for the gas compression station.

All these generator sets contain several advanced technologies and features. Included is a custom-designed remote radiator cooling system and a comprehensive power monitoring system. There is also a metering and control system with a PC based Human Machine Interface (HMI) completed with acoustic enclosures. Most importantly, JEC provided comprehensive support to ensure that the generator sets and auxiliary equipments supplied could meet the harsh conditions at the site. We passed the 72-hour continuous running test with flying colours.

Customer Satisfaction

JEC received an appreciation letter from the client for the professional attitude of the team as the on-site testing and commissioning work was completed successfully ahead of schedule.
